Description
In chemical industry methanol is applied as a semi-product. In the greatest numbers methanol is used for receiving formaldehyde, synthetic rubber, and also as the methylating agent in production of such important products as dimethyl terephthalate, methylamine, methylmethacrylate, pentaerythritol, urotropin.

Methanol is used in production of a film, amines, polyvinylchloride, carbamide and ion-exchange pitches, dyes and semi-products, as solvent in paint and varnish industry.

Methanol use for receiving various chemicals, for example a hlorofos, carbophos, chloride and bromic methyl, dimethylsulphate, acetic acid, vinylmethyl air, dimethylaniline, dimethylchlorthiophosphate, a metilmerkaptan.

Methyl alcohol can be applied as a component of motor fuel.

Methanol is filled in in specially allocated railway tanks without the lower drain device, a tanker truck, by steel barrels with a capacity of 200 dm3 in accordance with GOST 13950.

Methanol is transported by all means of transport according to the rules of transportation of goods existing on this type of transport.

Transportation of methanol on railway roads have to be carried out only in railway tanks, in barrels - motor transport.

Methanol raw is widely used in the gas industry for fight and the prevention of hydrate formation in gas pipelines at production and transportation of natural and passing gases, for test of new wells and wells after capital repairs and partially for an osushka of natural gas.

Methyl alcohol serves as selective solvent for purification of gasolines of merkaptan in oil-processing industry and the azeotropny agent at release of toluene as rectification. In mix with ethylene glycol methyl alcohol is applied to extraction of toluene from gasolines.

Methyl alcohol possesses high  octane number and can be applied as a component of motor fuel
