The geotextiles are the material made in the form of synthetic cloths which can be woven, nonwoven and knitted. The nonwoven cloth is made of polypropylene (polyester) monothreads with the subsequent their punched hole needles or others, the ways which are not damaging a thread.
The main destination of this type of materials is providing a filtration, separation and reinforcing in soil. Scope of material is very extensive - it is drainage, road, roofing and land management works. Also well proved geotextiles in various erosion-preventive designs. The synthetic geotextiles are used for thermal insulation on the railroads, stadiums and other sports constructions when laying fields.
Properties of geotextiles
Material maintains high loadings owing to elasticity peculiar to it and makes reinforcing of a surface. At the same time deformation of material is very small. At the application of efforts to a gap material strongly stretches, but does not collapse, continuing to carry out the tasks. Stretching can reach 45% and depends on cloth density. Geotextiles - the universal filter. The structure of a cloth prevents hit of soil during a time and their contamination. The filtering properties remain also in the conditions of strong vibration, and under pressure of layers of earth. Material possesses stability to chemical and physical influences, to low temperatures, a mold, fungi, insects, rodents, does not decay and is ecologically safe.
